The RC30 revisits and reimagines a very specific section of the New Balance archive. The streamlined design of this new silhouette is inspired by classic, competitive racing models. The upper features classic nylon with suede accents, while reducing the overall number of panels. Rounded off edges on the ‘N’ branding , inspired by pre-N logo overlay designs, and a midsole stripe detail offer subtle call backs to features unique to archival competition models. An exaggerated rippled design brings contemporary proportions to the defining feature of the historic, original Trackster, while a curved outsole and midfoot lift mimic the idiosyncrasies that occurred with ‘70s construction methods.
